GEO is a great company that cares genuinely about its employees. I really like the fact that problems are addressed rather than swept under the rug. I like that GEO values and supports its employees.

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

My overall experience is good; however, I recommend more training for security supervisors and wish that the supervisors in some departments were more supportive of staff. Many don't take advantage of opportunities to grow employees. Our FA should be less friendly with some staff. It's noticeable.

Every focuses on his/her responsibilities.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The majority of employees are high energy and positive.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel valued at GEO.

What makes you most happy at work?

The work that I do is what I've always wanted to do.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

There isn't much positive at my facility and it starts with the leaders. The leaders are cliquish, show partially, and gossip frequently.

What makes you most happy at work?

What makes me most happy at work is the fact that I love what I do and I'm passionate about what I do.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Our leadership team listens to every employee and does what is best while staying compliant. Our leadership offers solutions when problems arise.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

The professionalism at my facility is poor. The employees believe that profanity in the presence of others is acceptable, when in fact it is not. Additionally, many of the administrative team members do not dress in business attire appropriate for the workplace.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

It's not that I feel undervalued, it's just that HR staff are often under appreciated as we deal most with employees. I find that the business managers are compensated at a higher rate of pay and receive annual bonuses when our workload requires more of our time and dedication to the company.
