They need to work on the training part. After being off OJT and sent to CTI for 2 weeks we were expected to start working housing units right away when we returned. None of us felt prepared as we had not seen a full shift run beginning to end yet. It was a sink or swim situation and nerve-racking

What makes you most happy at work?
That I have someone whom I can call and ask questions. The other officer really set a lot of my nervous feelings at ease.
What are some of the best things about your team?
One person in particular calls throughout the shift to all the new people to help them out. He made sure we all knew what to expect and how to respond. He cares deeply about his job and anyone who works the same shift he is. He made sure all new people knew how to contact him and answered questions.
