What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Offering more training. I go into every situation at work grossly unprepared. After the on the job training portion, I was trained by a CO that has been here 2 weeks longer. There is no mentorship. You just get thrown into a house and told to run it.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Giving a shit. Stop spending money to repaint the same doors. Start fixing/ replacing cell doors. There is a massive focus on all the bad COs that have been arrested that it overshadows all the good COs. There is people who are PROUD that they had to walk out 10+ COs.
