Less pettiness. Less emphasis on the company making money. We deal with human being, not paper squares.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Less pettiness. See people as people, not tools. Be willing to defy illogical or inhumane rules. Argue with corporate. Care about money LESS than human beings.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
MORE PAY. Fewer (or no) 12-16 hour days. Benefits that ACTUALLY benefit people, i.e., that the poor can afford. Taking my money, that I have earned, in exchange for being allowed to smoke on my breaks; that sort of shit is insulting.
