dont have many
LOL, there are none. They do nothing for the team. NOTHING!

How's the work pace at U-Haul?
Fast
Incredibly fast or incredibly slow. No middle.
How's the morale at U-Haul?
Its up to you. If you dont make your own morale it wont be any.
Pay is absolutely atrocious for what's demanded of the employees, and the schedule is ALWAYS shorthanded. Overall morale is low, unless all the coworkers become close and make a really effective team. Then I'd say it's about neutral.
What unique perks and benefits does U-Haul provide?
A free turkey every year for Thanksgiving.
It's significantly cheaper to rent as an employee. Also when customers leave stuff in the trucks, and don't come get it or return calls, after a week or so we get to keep it. Same with storage after an auction if the buyer doesn't take everything and declines to come back another day to do so.
How much diversity is there among employees at U-Haul?
There is a lot of diversity with employees coming and going.
In the near 3 years I've worked with the company, 2014 - 2017, there was no shortage of diversity. I'd say it was damn near equal, though more of Hispanic decent than anything else. But given the area, that's to be expected. One of my guys (Mexican & African American) when I (Caucasian) was AGM went on earlier this year after I left to become a GM at another Uhaul store nearby.

They used to be, not anymore.
How helpful was your Customer Support team when you were first hired at U-Haul?
You need to learn more about uhaul and select your questions better. There are two aspects of uhaul. 1 is the departments in the towers in Phoenix Arizona, 2 is the customer service representative, aka the workhorses of uhaul, at the 14000 centers across the nation.
What makes you the most proud about working at U-Haul?
Nothing at all, I used to he proud to work at uhaul, but I've learned that uhaul.does not care about it's employees just about it's own image
What is the company mobility like at U-Haul?
Stagnate, there is no mobility other than lateral or fired.
What kind of activities do employees at U-Haul participate in outside of work?
If I actually had time off work then I might be able to answer this question, but as I am paid for 40 hrs, work 90 hrs, get no days off... Basically the only activity in participate in outside of work is sleeping

They promote within. If you do your job you have a good chance of being promoted

Be honest and be yourself. We have all types of people that work for us. Thats what makes it great

Cant complain. I know alot of people. and I do mean alot who make alot less then I do
What's the vibe like in the Operations dept at U-Haul? How many hours are you working?
Vibe is good work about 10 hours a day. Half day On Saturday and off on Sunday
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining U-Haul?
How stupid they all are, lack of communication, training and support.
How's the work life balance at U-Haul?
Awful. People don't show up for work on time, quite without any notice, managers come in and leave when they want. The work load is heavy and only one or two people on duty. It's abusive.
What's the office layout like at U-Haul?
The office for employees was rather cramped, but the showroom was much more spacious. Both, however, aren't the easiest to navigate due to cramming as much inventory as possible.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at U-Haul?
They work you just enough hours to not give you full time status and therefore no benefits or vacation.
