Our compensation is not always competitive to market. It is also very difficult to find promotion or advancement opportunities for capable and deserving team members that could bring them higher compensation.

Our teams are made up of many selfless, caring individuals who are all in for helping each other succeed. This remains one of the best aspects of working for Whole Foods Market.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Career paths have been muddied by a transformation to a more Amazon-like structure. The time scale is uncertain on when people can really step into new opportunities and that can be demotivating.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our leadership team has led through substantial changes. While their efforts to communicate the reasons for and impacts of these changes don't always hit the mark, they make a continued effort to improve in this area so teams feel connected to the big picture.
