I feel lucky every day to be an Alkamist. A lot has changed recently and there are some concerning trends with different departments making decisions in a vacuum & not truly understanding the impact those decisions will have on the rest of the company, but as a whole I still love being an Alkamist

I used to love this place dearly, but it has shifted and the culture seems to no longer value people as people and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. The major goals of the company are created and being solved in a silo that will have distasterous results

They're very available if I need to reach out
Revisión
People are available for conversations without too much hassle

Unlimited PTO and RSUs as a form of bonus and compensation

Nothing feels better than feeling like you're good at your job

Seeing results, getting things completed, hearing from happy clients, and seeing my teammates succeed

Solving a tough problem or seeing one of my direct reports do something new, cool, or awesome
Revisión
We can be open and transparent and still find chances to joke even when things are dark and bleak
Revisión
When a problem comes along the majority of people are willing to step up and help out any way they can.
Revisión
People can be themselves without issue. I've had to adopt a work personality at past companies that's different and guarded from who I really am. At Alkami I'm free to be myself
Revisión
I don't feel as though Alkami has reacted enough to the recent and dramatic changes in the cost of living and inflation. The annual merit cycles do not seem to accurately reflect the current economy.
Revisión
They treat their employees like responsible human beings. They also place a lot of emphasis on attempting to provide as much information as possible to their employees to keep the whole company informed and on the same page.
Revisión
They take the time to make sure all voices and concerns are heard and responded to accordingly. There's no fear of holding your tongue and open discussions are always welcomed. They also care about their employees as people and treat them as such
Revisión
Everyone is on the same page and works toward a common goal. There is no CYA attitude and it's a safe environment for others to freely admit responsibility for actions and encourages people to recognize their co-workers (instead of fearing they'll be outshined)
Revisión
The rules around compensation changes have become very strict & there isn't enough opportunity to increase salaries based on performance. There is also an expectation to do more with less & it's beginning to run us ragged. Rather than increase pay or hire more people we're simply expected to do more
Revisión
Team meetings and conversations are a safe space where people aren't afraid to ask questions or bring up new ideas. We also feel comfortable bringing a bit of our personal lives into work (ex: hobbies or how your weekend went) which allows us to converse more as friends rather than just coworkers.
