The people I work with are smart, kind and caring. They can also be counted on to deliver most of the time, so the work is rarely frustrating.
The quality of people at Esri is surprisingly good. It is so nice to work with people who are genuinely doing all they can to help, and consistently go above and beyond.
Nearly everyone seems engaged in what we are doing. A positive attitude pervades, and while there are some long standing challenges, there is also a sense that we will over come them once we put a focus on them.
They apply good logic to most decisions and are less prone to "group think" dumbing them down compared to other companies I have worked for. Leadership also genuinely cares about their people and environment (at Esri and the world). All companies say they do, but Esri backs it up with action.
Free health care, as in no deduction to my paycheck for it, though the plan has deductibles as part of it, and their is currently only 1 option. The 401k matching is also stronger than most, and the profit sharing (in the form of 401k contributions) is also a nice benefit.
