We are all supportive of each other and there's a positive feel here.
If we got paid better I think people would stay with the company.
Better pay like I've said in every single survey I've done in the 5 years we've been First Merchants
Other companies are starting out with better pay...If you started your SAs out with at least 20 dollars an hour, I am highly sure there would be less turnovers.
Tellers need to at least start out at 20 dollars an hour and then there would be no turnover...People would stay...We need better benefits...You need to retain your employees...The majority of them leave because of pay
With working at a busier branch, there is no incentive for working here. I could work at another location that's slower and make the same amount. Other places are hiring in at more than what we make here.
Everyone here is physically drained from the lack of help and people quitting left and right and we can never get help and with the pay we receive for the work we do it's not exciting to come to work
With how minimum wage is and the fact that people can go work at a fast food restaurant for more than what we're making here, it would make sense to start tellers off at 20.00 an hour. That's a big incentive to make people stay. The main reason good people leave here is because of their pay.
Our branch is one of the busiest ones in our region...The pay we get for the work we do isn't cutting it...People can hire in at food places making the same if not more and do less work...When we're short staffed we can never get help which I feel is what the reserves are for yet we never see one
