GE Vernova: Both satisfying and frustrating. Lots of new leaders who have no idea what they are doing.
GE Vernova: The company has provided me a great opportunity to learn and comfortably provide for my family. There has been opportunities for advancement, but business conditions have driven some wrong behavior and actions that have driven many to question the future and viability of this once great company.
GE Vernova: GE provides an opportunity to work across the globe in almost any field or job you can think of. Take advantage of that and you have the opportunity to flourish!
GE Vernova: It is been a wonderful 30 years at GE. I have been able to grow and advance my career, work with amazing people and create the future of power generation.
GE Vernova: More than 20 years of the best mix of engineering disciplines. Mechanical, thermal, aero, electrical, industrial, project, chemical, controls, manufacturing are ALL represented when designing and building a gas turbine.
GE Vernova: I appreciate the career that GE has afforded me. I'm hopeful that the business cycle between now and retirement (20ish years) sets the stage for a sound retirement.

Heartland: In the beginning it was a good company to work for, but over the years corp take over the company has lost it's soul. Now it's a shell to make money for others. Customer service has gone out the window, employee care has become a catch phrase instead of being a fact.

Heartland: I loved this company starting out. Then people got promoted that I don't feel should. People got bonuses when they have done less than I have. I've worked so hard that its expected day in and day out that my work isn't considered great, its my everyday and I am constantly overlooked.
Heartland: Love the role but not as much as I used to. I often feel burned out because of all the recent pricing actions. Sometimes I feel like we are becoming "like the rest of" the processing companies. The pricing actions seem penny rich and dollar poor to me. Our online reputation is taking a big hit.
Heartland: What is published and how it's done are different things, inside politics make the work environment dull, we are working against our self in many occasions.

When you do reach out and show being unpaid, manager & HR push back & no comp is given but they will hire outside & pay more than you make.

I work 6 days a week and to this day, I can't tell you of a day I was shown appreciation for my dedication. This situation is unfair, leadership continues to ask for more, and more, but do not compensate us adequately.
Hot Topic: The company expects way too much of its employees for far too little pay. I love all of my coworkers and feel it is unfair and unethical to be held to such expectations on unlivable wages.

Heartland: I started during COVID and the company made sure we still received quality training and help is always available even if we are not working in the office. They were very helpful when a family member died early in my training and did not make me feel bas for wanting to be with my family.
