I've said in the past that of the "corporate overlords", Sunrun seems like one of the best. That hasn't necessarily rung true as much since Lynn stepped down, but it is still a solid place to work and I'm certainly not UNhappy.

Freedom Time Off and the ESPP

Learning new things, which seems to happen often in my position.

The best thing about the leadership team is the clear commitment to a work/life balance.

Everyone tends to be pro "greater good" in the world. Which makes sense for a renewable energy company.

My coworkers tend to be interesting people with great attitudes. Also incredibly intelligent and always willing to lend a hand and share their expertise.

The camaraderie amongst the team and willingness to step in and help support each other through challenging situations, even outside one's own job description.

The health care plan is pretty great, but the ESPP program is legitimately what kept me at the company when I was considering other opportunities.

The whole team is consistently striving for the same goal and, at least on my team specifically(AEE/SnapNrack), there does not seem to be any of the typical "workplace politics."

A bit too much focus on numbers, metrics, and profit alone since 2021-ish and less focus and care about the "boots on the ground" folks on the operational side. Leadership making regular visits to experience the actual WORK being done would certainly help with perspective and high level decisions.

I feel kind of neutral about leadership these days, it feels like it was better when we had a Founder CEO. The "intangibles" regarding the culture seemed fuller and richer under Lynn. Since the switch things feel more corporatized and focused on numbers, though it seems to be improving a bit lately.
