Leadership isn't afraid to be honest if a next step or future state isn't entirely ironed out. I'd prefer the honest feedback instead of fluff to know we're all on the same page.
Something I love about my department is we have removed the bureaucracy. Everyone has the same weight to their questions and you don't have to go step by step to talk to certain people.
