Tenable has good benefits, but allows people who don't understand our products and their purpose to drive development and innovation. As a result, the products suffer, but the stock goes up anyway.

The pay and insurance seem fair enough, if you were hired in at a high enough level. Otherwise, the yearly pay bumps are wholly insufficient for many employees, and we've had a retention problem.

Nowadays Tenable is driven entirely by the sales and marketing team. The people who least understand our products are making decisions they should not. Also these are very large teams now considering all the moving pieces in the products.

The leadership team is motivated almost entirely by chasing shiny objects in the hope that it will bump up the stock price. They are obsessed with their competitors, and the people who join our leadership team are rarely qualified to lead.
