What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Lean in to the great corporate culture. We don't want to lose it. That said, we do not have a long term focused strategic vision to rally around that aligns all departments. Each department works independently. We could win in the market if we were aligned and working towards common goals.

The leadership team is motivated almost entirely by chasing shiny objects in the hope that it will bump up the stock price. They are obsessed with their competitors, and the people who join our leadership team are rarely qualified to lead.

The leadership team needs to get better at actively addressing issues with the work culture at the company, instead of putting the onus on employees. They also need to be less complacent with the way things are.

There's no focus on individual contributor success - I don't see a career at this company. Our VP has been quoted as saying he won't promote within his org, and he doesn't provide the support needed to elevate those under him.

Stop treating everything the customers tell you as the gospel truth; make the product work, make the product work correctly, and stop being bullied by large customers to make ad-hoc fixes and changes.

They need to get better at "Leadership".
