What makes you most happy at work?

My team and the people I work closely with.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

The leadership on my team can show more empathy and be more human.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I like that even with the growth we have had, we still hold onto our core goals.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is so hard working and willing to work collaboratively. I really do enjoy working with them.

My team is fun to be around and very hard working. We get along great and value each other.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

We need to have 401K matching in order to be more competitive in the SF market. Travel and gym compensation would be a great bonus.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I think overall the people are great and we have a lot of good people at the company. I think what we lack in leadership, we make up for in solidarity in our team.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

I am on the Recruiting Team and I have no idea what my leaders are doing all day. They are absent from their desks, not present at meetings, and don't communicate well. They need to be better at connecting with their own team.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The Head of Recruiting needs to do better by caring for his team. It doesn't help that he is so disconnected and can't seem to read the room. We see efforts but there is still much room for improvement. More honesty and more transparency please!

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I know that others on the team are getting paid more than I am. I also feel that Instacart lacks in many of the small perks that other companies in The Bay Area offer. Bringing dogs to work, Uber credits, gym credit, phone bill discounts, etc.
