Our leadership team treats us with respect and understanding and also listens to our concerns.
Our team works very collaboratively and is always willing to help others in the group whenever needed. People will freely offer to help and offer to stay later if they see others are involved in a large update and might not make the deadline.
The culture is very supportive and understanding. Even when there are issues with people's work, people are treated with respect and are polite. Everyone is very friendly and open to chatting with other people in other departments in the break-room. There aren't cliques.
I don't feel that it's line with with the market for our type of work. My department produces a product that has always been said to be critical and lucrative for the business, but it doesn't seem like our salary or technical resources that our department gets really reflects that.
I like the variety of work and the ability to work independently. I work on several projects and have some autonomy in how I structure/prioritize my work. Even when I was entry level, the work my department does varies day by day and requires a lot of initiative and independence.
