Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

Outside my general area, I see a company filled with opportunities for growth. Inside my area, I see turmoil, tepid morale, and management that cannot prioritize or keep pace with our commitments.

What makes you most happy at work?

I love a good challenge!

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Our leadership team is consistent communicating their values and explaining how we are executing on them.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

We excel at communicating the importance of work/life balance, as all of us face obstacles juggling family and health during the Pandemic.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Our team has an array of talent, diverse perspectives and backgrounds that helps us deliver smarter, more holistic solutions to the challenges our growing business faces.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

When I compare my position title's salary against the same title at a variety of companies, it never fails that I fall at or near the bottom.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The ability to work flexible hours and collaborate with colleagues to ensure proper coverage is terrific. We can work hard, then step away without fear of missing deadlines or underdelivering on our commitments.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The leadership team seems to genuinely care. Their enthusiasm is infectious. With a complex organizational structure and equally complex business, they do their best to break down silos and share news from across the company.

What makes you most happy at work?

Seeing a project long-ago conceived on a whiteboard successfully make it into production. Personally, it is identifying data problems and feeling that they will be addressed in such a way that promotes curiosity, analysis, and continual improvement.

What are some of the best things about your team?

We care deeply about the quality of our work and the impact it has on our internal-facing customers. Rarely do I hear anyone say "That isn't my job" when asked to cover another area; instead, there is widespread desire to go above and beyond.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Our director said a market analysis revealed we are paid at or above the regional average for my role; however, my manager stated that we pay 80% of that average. Speaking with colleagues at other companies whose title matches mine, it seems my pay is around 70-80% what theirs is.
