I believe that the company has either ignored or just not paid attention to the market value for many of it's positions.
What makes you most happy at work?
The people in the teams I have worked, because while the work is definitely challenging, the collaboration requires working with so many people and that means relationships. Good people make it work.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The company fell behind the industry and we have lost good people, but are also struggling to get new because they demand more then the current employees are getting. Going to create a moral problem.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The employees who have been here the longest understand this is a job and that we are here to work together to accomplish our work at the highest level. We respect each other not for our differences, but for our common goal.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
When you look at the level of commitment to DEI in comparison to rewarding on merit (hard work/accomplishment), the company is more focused on social anxieties vs rewarding employees on actual work. Instead, managers are forced to 'play the merit-shuffle game' each year and employees know it.
