
Respect that my position requires me to be an SME in many areas, and I have many different projects in flight at any given time. Bring background information, context, and specific deliverables when you ask for my time.
Either compensate your lower-level employees better or take responsibility for making the work better for your employees. Change the company culture to be more emphasized on higher quality and lower volume. Emphasize the importance of respecting the time and effort of every person.
Fewer non-solar related initiatives (Current) and more budget for employee raises. A better understanding of "Tech Debt": it does not mean you need to abandon existing tools, services, and platforms for "better" ones. It means you need to allow the time needed for things to be made correctly. imo.
My last raise was less than inflation, and I don't have any reason to believe that the next one will be different. My manager has given no indication that I am anywhere close to being considered for a promotion when I ask. We both acknowledge that my skills have improved.
They seem to do as much as they can to prevent layoffs. I was furloughed during COVID, but I felt like Sunrun did it's best to take care of me during that time. Money was tight for a moment, but I had benefits the whole time and Sunrun brought me back onboard when they said they would.
