It was fine when i 1st started working there and than as time started to pass by i noticed that they treat black people unfairly. They started treating me differently, they were writing me up for everything employees that werent my race was doing the same things and they didnt write them up at all.

The Benihanas that I work at is a franchise and has really nice owners. On the other hand the general manager if the place has no respect or ethics. She has said derogatory and inappropriate comments about the staff, and staff's family members. She has zero communication or problem solving skills.

Overall I have never actually hated working anywhere up until I started working at Benihana, the management makes your work like horrible, everyone is in it for themselves, and they expect you to work under such horrible conditions

There has been times where they scheduled me for busser but never gave me my tips but everyone else thats bussing gets paid all their tips. I was a dishwasher not a busser.

I feel undervalued because I am constantly reminded by my superiors that I am replaceable when they do not get what they want out of me, they expect the servers and chefs to work under horrible conditions. We are always out of something which makes it look bad on the servers end

They are really sweet and kind, and very welcoming. Helpful as well.

The servers are able to bounce back from anything, and I enjoy working with chefs for the most part they all have good attitudes for the most part

Some coworkers are not helping. They start trouble and one employee has already got written up 2 times and he's still there and he's rude and has a bad behavior

It was a very fast interview. Which should have been a red flag because the only reason it was fast is because i had an experience and a great resume, but alos because they were very understaffed.
