What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like the focus and development of a culture along with the creation of goals and expectations. I like that we are working on creating a true vision for the organization that focuses on people and meeting goals. Not just numbers.

My immediate manager is the best I've ever had. They are experienced, open to ideas, they delegate without micromanaging, and trust their team. They also advocate for us, and that's important.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Allowing for diversity in opinions across platforms. Not having one way of doing things and expecting that to work for all platform types. Also, Fear of leadership and avoidance is incredibly unhealthy. There is no passion left or care of investment in the company thanks to poor leadership.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Market pay, with raises for good work.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Having a manger that does not make me feel like i could get fired for asking a simple question. Proper structure to show career development and not being stuck because corporate CECO wont allow for certain positions to exist within platforms.

Through the research of similar peers and other salary-related data, I am below in many of the findings for the size of the company, responsibilities and direct reports. It's close, though, and I hope to close that gap next year during the annual review/increase.

What are some of the best things about your team?
The CECO team is friendly and professional. They work hard to get the job done and help their teammates whenever they can. My direct team is incredibly supportive and always willing to step in and take on more if another member needs help.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Not changing their minds, moving the finish line constantly, and freaking out over us not knowing they changed protocol without communicating it. And not having managers that blindly take sides without understanding the full story/scope.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
CECO needs to let platforms operate on their own and not insist we follow their ways without any support. CECO runs on a culture of fear and following. not independent thought.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Every day seems to come with new unpleasant BS surprises. it's unpredictable and makes it incredibly difficult to wake up every morning to come to work. Improve it by actually having incentives, show you care about your employees and limit favoritism.

Provide more family friendly benefits. In order to attract new talent, you'll have to compete with other large companies in certain areas with perks and benefits. Look to hire more diversity within the team. Focus on employee retention, not just acquisition.
