What do you like best about the leadership team?
Generally, the ELT shows extreme competence and are truly some of the best at what they do. I have a lot of confidence in the company to battle economic headwinds.

One of the best things about our leadership team is that when you are talking to them - they are actually listening. They aren't just being polite when they ask you a questions - then genuinely want to hear your answer. That makes a big difference.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
I love that when the restaurants do well and I do well - the annual bonus is AWESOME!

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I know my market value as a consultant and my wage does not measure up to that even accounting for benefits. Also, SoCal is very expensive. I should be paid at least another 30% higher to account for my skills, value I bring to the company, and cost of living.

Base pay is low compared to other software engineering positions in the area. Total comp is average at best. 401k matching doesn't kick in until after a year, benefits don't start until after a month, and stock grants aren't awarded until two years after (begin vesting one year after start).

My team is amazing; I love working with such a great group of intelligent, hard working, and fun folks.

Everyone on the team is open to sharing and trying new approaches. If the trial doesn't provide the expected results - it is okay. We make adjustments together - but we learned from the trial what did and didn't work and apply that knowledge.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Despite being in food service, CMG strives to encourage a work/life balance. We also have passion for our product and services which is universal to all departments. I like that I can be myself, for the most part, including being comfortably out as LGBTQ at work.
