Ive been working at cost for over 6 years and i am just waiting for the right opportunity to leave. Drains your soul. Members are rude, management are narcisists.

Employees are uneducated in most locations.

Learn how to be a leader rather than a boss. Management needs to treat employees as humans rather than a number.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Favoritism shouldnt be considered when choosing the applicant, but always is at our costco. Time in position and company no longer matters at costco.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The culture is toxic at costco and it stems from the top down. We need better starting pay, and part timers need to work amaximum of 3-4 days a week.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
1. Higher wages 2. 4 day work week for part timers 3. Management needs to go to classes around treating others with respect and how to be a leader not a boss.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Employees at costco start at $16/hour when a mile up the road at walmart starting pay is $25/hour and even taco bell starts at $17.50/ hour. Part time employees are forced to work 5 days a week.. just awful! These are the reasons why people are chomping at the bit to leave costco.
