I no longer work at Costco but my husband does. They do not allow any of their employees to request any time off from the beginning of November until the beginning of January. They keep raising their starting wage but are not raising the pay cap for their long time employees. Etcetera.
What makes you most happy at work?
Going home was the best part of my day. If I was left alone and was allowed to do my job it would have made it better.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication, stop with the micromanagement your employees are not children, figuring out a good management style and actually sticking to it, pay more attention to what their employees are saying
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Because of managers and supervisors that actually end up hindering their employees jobs, moral, and store experience. They are sacrificing the parts about Costco that made it such a great place to work. Ot is a very different costco culture nowadays.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My coworkers got along and everyone did their jobs. Even if someone was having a bad day they would get their job done at a great pace and were professional with the members. There was no need for micromanagement. Focusing on a problem employee okay otherwise not okay
