I've worked at Costco for over 5 years and have noticed a major decrease in Costco's commitment to their employees. A lot of employees have left due to work environments and poor leadership. The overall satisfaction rating of our CEO continues to decrease and internal surveys rate Costco poor.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview teams and recruiters are really easy to work with.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Over the past five years, the only aspect of the job that has not decreased it the health plan (insurance).
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Management at all levels avoids discussing issues that are relevant and obvious to the organization as a whole. Employees voices are often ignored or silenced and retaliation is present within the corporate and warehouse environments.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Costco's health benefits are great, but pay and additional compensation is lacking for corporate and skilled roles. I have found compensation ranging from 15-25% higher at other companies for similar roles to the one I held.
