Put simply, upper management needs to pay more attention to what the shop floor employees want.
Listen to the shop floor employees more and make changes that benefit everyone and not just upper management's profit margins.
It's out of our hands. My coworkers do the best they can despite us working 7 days a week with broken machines and nothing is ever done to actually fix problems.
They overcomplicate things more and more each year when we still do the same thing every day all year. The machines are getting worse with each passing month and 10 minute fixes aren't the solution. Also, were under constant pressure to meet a high demand while working 6-7 days a week all year.
