There needs to be not such a big turnover of district managers. You are tossed from district manager to district manager. I have been there 5 years without one raise from the company.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Pay is about 30 percent lower than other merchandising companies. Drivetime pay is only about half of the hourly pay, although you are driving from store to store for them. No benefits. One week you could have as little as 5 hour and the next you could have 40. You cannot live off this job alone.

I have never gotten a raise from driveline & I have been there for 5 years. I have been tossed from one district manager to the next. Always their excuse not to be able to give me a raise.

I am in the field as a Retail Rep. Im looking to grow more into Corporate...with my strong back ground. But separate from that, in this positikn, staff feels with the wear and tare on our vehicles our hourly and mileage should be more. You have to look at cost of gas and living per state.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

First of all, the dms should not just hire anyone that passes a background check. You get people that have no idea what they are doing. They cant take care of their personal hygiene let alone their assignments in a store.

Coworkers are not the issue. they work how they are trained. The issue is that they are not trained by someone that knows what they're doing, most of the time. They could be trained by someone that started a month before them. Newbies could be set up with reps that have had complaints against them.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The most positive thing is that reps do, very occasionally, have store managers that like their jobs and will appreciate them. Most of the time it's very stressful due to all of the unknowns.

Basically, if you get a call from someone with driveline, you have the job as long as you have a car, insurance, a smartphone, a computer, internet, and a printer.
