What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Running a science company. They routinely make short-sighted decisions based on cursory financial analysis that cost much more to the company in the long run and have crippled our ability to innovate through massive layoffs and critical reduction of capability.

The benefits package and 401K match is very good.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Our health coverage is poor, gets worse every year, and costs us more. Our raises are often frozen in lieu of a bonus which is much greater benefit to the executives. There is constant fear off irrational layoffs and downsizing every time the stock market struggles for a month or two.

What are some of the best things about your team?
We are an incredibly smart and diverse team of people with many backgrounds and decades of experience. DuPont has a huge knowledge base of people that have been there for their entire career.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
In a local level there is a real love for the company and the work that we do. The corporate culture is soulless and depressing.

We host a lot of food events and company gatherings/happy hours to keep up camaraderie.

Slow to respond on a corporate level, high paced day of fire fighting

Constant challenges. Target rich environment

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Everything about the corporate vision is wrong. How can it be improved? Remove greedy executives like Ed Breen who care only about shareholder value and not about the success of the company, it's employees, or the state of scientific progress.

Hiring stopped 2 years ago, and people left or retired. The company has added responsibility to me because of that. I can't keep up, and hardly got a raise.
