The job is okayish at best but uppermanagement(District Manager and above) communication is lack luster most of the time. Consistently fail to offer competitive wages but having high expections on the ones they do have and thus keeping their stores very shorthanded most of the time.

We actually communicate more than the upper management does.

Communication, a more competitive wage especially for their assistant managers.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel very undervalued. The pay is less than satisfactory, not putting any reasonable effort to place stores in positions to succeed more much less offering reasonable communications with their employees.
