It's been good but things are surely in need of some change. Virtual teams are great but inhouse staff can be better. We don't hire the best talent at the entry level and people are cutting corners while hiring which upsets me!
What makes you most happy at work?
My profile is interesting and gives me a lot of opportunities to empower people and make them stronger (skill training). That makes me happy too.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They are very productive even if they're not the best people managers or lack interpersonal skills...not all, just a handful are in need of proper training. They're very number driven!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I haven't interacted with the senior leadership team, so I don't have visibility on them other than when they send out emails and do virtual town halls. I fully appreciate their ideas and support their vision though. I'm grateful for the opportunities given so far!I just wish everyone was more kind!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I think the extent of my work does not compensate enough and asking for a raise always means I have to do a lot more than what my goals demand. I'm happy with my take home salary but not any other benefits because the night shift allowance is a joke here along with few other components.
