There is a lot of good and a lot of bad in our company. I feel we are being spread very thin and some of our clients are harassing us which increases the stress of our supervisors and as an extension, us. Work needs to be stabilised and it is not yet there.
What are some of the best things about your team?
There is always a will to help each other and of course that makes me more than willing to help them when in need
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Inclusivity and recent transparency. I like that my team is able to have insights about how we are doing and that they are encouraged to ask questions
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like the guidance that I am getting and the constant feedback. I like when I get re assured about my work and get feedback to improve it. I feel heard and listened to and I was pleasantly surprised to see some of my feedback addressed.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The environment is stressful and we are understaffed. There are team dynamics that are not going well and there is a lot of animosity between the team. I have at times felt patronised and belittled despite the effort I am making. Also there are fears that the office I work in will not survive
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compared to market, I am getting paid less for my position title than I should. Additionally the company which provides our benefits, vitality is less than responsive and hard to work with. Leading up to me not getting money back for basic things like eyecare. In general pay is unfair for my team
