There is a great combo of working diligently and taking time to chat about the day or have a bit of fun.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I went for years without raises and for all the work I do I am making much less than most of my friends in private sector. I've cleaned up many major messes in my dept (some that took me a year or more to straighten out)and no one has even thanked me. My recent manager finally acknowledged me.
