What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Improved by smart people who have a voice and are able to manage up. People at Gap are smart but it’s hard to be brave enough to speak up.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

I like that I am eligible for a bonus each year and that the medical benefits are sound and easy to use. I am happy with my salary but it took a long while to get there.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Setting clear priorities for their teams and actively and continually living by those same priorities themselves. Need to improve heir ability to accurately identify what those priorities should even be - theirs are often in the wrong place. Better mentoring.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

As mentioned clearer priorities from leaders and support from them when we have to STOP it NOT do certain things in order to focus on those priorities. People feel that our leaders are to be obeyed and feared not as guiding forces to something greater together.
