My experience at Goodwill was Awesome. I looked forward to getting up and going to work each and every day. They broke my heart on 7/31/19 though. They said I repriced 2 items cheaper than they were for a customer and let me go, saying it was, 'misconduct'. I was a Supervisor, and that wasn't true.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
That we are all hard workers and will do anything to succeed another day
What did you like most about the interview process?
That is wasn't so professional feeling. It was fun, but it probably helped that I was in a Great mood.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Great Attitudes, I can always count on any crew I'm working with that our job will be completed, Enthusiasm, We all get along, There is never any ill words or actions among crew member. It's fun.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being surrounded with Awesome people who want to achieve daily goals, being able to give Awesome customer service and being rewarded with seeing how grateful the customer is. The music is pretty high on the list too.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
No matter what day or time of day it is, Attitudes will be positive on the Sales floor. It's actually uplifting, walking out from the stockroom, seeing and hearing happy customers, upbeat crew members and good music playing overhead. It's a great work environment for the soul. I love it.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Higher pay is #1, Having enough staff to reasonably achieve all of the goals for a day is #2, and #3 I'd like to see Goodwill do more in and for their community. The store I work at in Florence, Oregon has Zero disabled workers and we do nothing for our community, like helping homeless with blankets
