Lazy servers who refuse to help each other out lazy management who refuses to help servers when they are severely overwhelmed and regular sexual-harassment that just completely goes ignored. And it is a franchise store but that means nothing because the manager is the owner

  • What life? I give my all to ihop that I have nothing left for anything else! I'm there sometimes 3-4 hours after being cut from the floor doing sidework! Or helping the fresh servers (who refuse to let us pick up any tables, which is slowly improving) by seating the door, getting drinks and running their food! At $2.13 an hour!

  • Every shift is a challenge! As a server, we cover a lot of positions. We get to play hostess, food runner, busser, take care of any problems we have with any tables, oh, and we're lucky enough to take and put together to go orders while our one and only manager on duty is stuck on the grill line like they're a cook only! Like they are scared to go deal with the public because they know everything that is being done is failing!

  • They just make them. The decisions start at the top I suppose and roll their way down. There are no meetings, no alley ralley, no real heads up! Who doesn't have a kitchen meeting when the menu is about to change?? An employee can have a couple of days off and come back and there's a new menu with no real communication of it. It is the managers responsibility to make sure that his whole staff knows about a change in the menu! Vital info!

  • I don't know that there is any true success stories. Maybe survival stories, but not success. Unless it's up in corporate. And I wonder how many of them started as a server or in the dish pit. Those are the front lines!
