My direct management could be better, and I wish there was the opportunity to give 360 reviews (not just one-directional). But I like my team, I am engaged, I am motivated to improve the products I work on and overall I am satisfied with Imprivata as a great place to work.

Imprivata is a collection of really good human beings doing important work, respected and valued by our customers (I know because I talk to them.) The people are easy to talk to and work with. The work is challenging but not overwhelming.

Overall it's been very positive. There have been challenges with another member of my team that put a damper on things in recent months but it was addressed by HR and management. And also, I was dissatisfied with my salary until I finally got a salary adjustment this past summer, which helped.

Bonus structure for non-sales people is very poor. Vacation policy is vague and is the intersection of the worst aspects of accrued vacation (not much time off) and unlimited vacation (supposed to be "unlimited" which allows the company to avoid paying accrued but in practice is stingy 2 -3 weeks

I think I am paid a bit below par, compared to what my peers earn at other organizations. I asked for a salary adjustment, and it finally came to fruition but took over 6 months from the time I first asked.

I am not earning as much as my peers at other organizations. I often see job postings with salaries included, and they are higher than my salary, even though they are for similar positions, and often asking for fewer years of experience than I have. My raises also haven't kept pace with inflation.

Engineers need to respect colleagues and opinions from other departments more, managers need to hold their team members accountable so everybody is not just comfortable being average and doing the bare minimum. No wonder all the good and talented people are leaving.
