nextdoor is relatively short sighted in paying for top talent

You can 'act like an owner' to recruit, work on Hackathons, volunteer for projects, and hit every KPI and still not get a raise or promotion outside of the annual 3% increase given to all. I can't take a post card of kudos or hackathon award to the bank. Be clear about how to actually get a raise.
