Been here for over 26 years. I live very close, have enjoyed working here for the entire time I've been at the hospital. I have seen many changes and growth, am aware I will continue seeing changes and growth.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We normally have each others back. We have a smaller team, everyone attempts to help each other. Feels like family most of the time.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Well, I guess we have all bought into the changing environment! Most of us are fine with changes, we are at least welcoming the change.
What makes you most happy at work?
Feeling as though I am able to accomplish what I need to each day. Having good outcomes with patients, families and other healthcare workers whether it be MD's, PCT's, housekeeping etc.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I believe they are trying to align us with the rest of the Northside campuses. Communication is not always clear, sometimes watered down through verbal communication without having anything written to have in black and white. I like they are positioning the hospital for future growth.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Aware other positions are making more than I am in my position. Multiple staff have left the hospital to make more money at other hospitals or with agency. Nothing is being done here to retain. I have taken a pay cut related to how Gwinnett compensated me versus how Northside compensates.
