I love what I do and I respect what NSH is trying to do as a healthcare provider. I believe they need to take a more vested interest in the associates who work for them because all the rest they do will mean nothing if they don't start to build a great team who is loyal to NSH.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They show up and give 110% everyday in spite of the obstacles and challenges.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
More than compensation - it's feeling supported and my opinions and views are respected - especially when it comes to changes in process or policies.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
the team work. even when things aren't going well, staff shortages, unhappy patients. Everyone pulls together to make it work or to resolve problems. It is the people this facility
What makes you most happy at work?
I love helping people. I like the daily opportunites for learning, even when it comes from something negative. I believe healthcare is a wonderful career path but you must be ready to change gears at a moment's notice - I thrive on that.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Stop the hyper focus on growth and infrastructure. They need to focus on building up the teams - clinical, administrative etc. We are all burning out trying to keep everything going in a safe and efficient manner per goals and missions but don't feel the support always from leadership
