I started as a temporary employee. I was promoted to full time after 8 months of work. I completed my bachelors degree and shortly after I was promoted again. With the help of NSH tuition reimbursement program I'm almost finished paying off my loans. It's an honor to work for a company like NSH.

I started here 7 years ago just to "get my foot in the door" but I was able to learn, grow and now help lead others. My career is something I look forward to everyday and I am so proud to work for Northside Hospital.

I joined Northside almost 9 years ago and to this day, I'm prideful when telling others that I get to work here. The care we give, the staff we have beside us and the leaders above us are phenomenal. Theres no place I'd rather work!

The thing about Northside is, we are constantly growing which brings more opportunities and I'm most happy when tackling a new challenge.

Our team makes work the most enjoyable. We're always jumping in to help each other and help the greater good of the organization.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
We meet once a week to go over our progress, set goals and strategic ideas. They are always helpful and provide an open door to everyone.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I would feel better if my hourly rate was higher. I would like to be offered a preloaded HSA/FSA with $500-700 on it to help out with healthcare expenses.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is very diverse, so we bring different views and opinions to the table. We are able to collaborate well to get the job done in a timely manner.

What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our leadership team listens and take actionable steps to advocate for us. They lead with intention and always put Northside's staff needs before theirs. I am beyond thankful for my leadership team!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We work together and we work hard but we also have fun together. We host events, have monthly gatherings where we are able to hangout outside of work, and we support on another.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I enjoy watching the growth trajectory of my teammates. Some of my teammates are now leaders and some of them have sought out paths outside of my department. It's rewarding to watch others grow and flourish with Northside!
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I understand that my compensation is based on my years of experience which makes me feel like I'm paid fairly. I feel like Northside does a good job by keeping up with the market and gives adjustments when necessary.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team never hesitates to jump in and help. We always end the conversation with 'well is there anything I can do for you?' and the ask is genuine. If I ever need an extra hand, I can count on my team without feeling discouraged or embarrassed.
