In the beginning it was okay, basic cashier work. But my experience specifically, managers lacked basic communication and there were serious safety hazards occurring daily, mostly from lack of care and short staffing.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
For the amount of work and lack of customer service other employees feel, barely making above minimum wage does not make the work feel motivating.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication is key for management staff. Managers would state to others how much they disliked one employee for a lack of reason, and retaliate against said employee. Serious rethinking of Communication and morale needs to be done.
