My team constantly has my back. They reinforce policy when customers are rude and constantly support eachother.
The environment in the salon is friendly and has a family feel to it. Seeing my coworkers makes me excited to go to work everyday.
I liked the preparation the managers gave and the different options in the store. At first I applied to be in the hotel, my manager suggested I would have fun as a bather and they were right.
I like how my salon manager has my back mostly but as for the store manager, they slack off and do not prepare new people well. They throw the responsibility of training someone onto people who are too busy to properly do so.
The regulars that come in, especially if their dog is anxious and feels comfortable with you. There is no better feeling than earning the trust of a dog. My coworkers are incredible and even when the store manager disagrees with us, my salon manager has my back.
I feel very undervalued as a bather. The pay as a starting salary is fine but the wage should be raised considering bathers are the ones that not only take up to 6 dog appointments a shift, but also are responsible for random walk-in appointments no matter what they're schedule is.
