Good and fun work environment. I love caring for the animals and spreading knowledge to my customers about their fish tanks.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Corporate does the bare minimum for their employees and animals.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Being surrounded by dogs and other animals and animal products is the best part because we care so much about whats best for the animal.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My leadership team is friendly and works hard. Fun to be around so work isn't terrible even if customers are rude at times. I cannot say the same for all locations.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Friendly people who mostly are knowledgeable about the pets and products we sell. The company does not have a great plan for time or care for animals in the store. My team does what we can.
What makes you most happy at work?
Working in petcare and being free to walk the store and help people learn about fish tanks and reptile care. I know mostly about these because I have both. However, I am very familiar with small animal care as well. Birds and turtles, not so much. Being tied to the register as cashier is the worst.
