What are some of the best things about your team?

Most are smart, hardworking, friendly and genuinely care about improving the business.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Interviewers are bad at asking questions. They don't know to get the right information from people.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Executives are paid lavishly, while employees below director level barely scrape by. Director pay is all over the place.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Create accountability for failing to execute on goals. The goals themselves need to be more realistic. Customers should be put first by investing more in improving the products, business processes, and account service--currently RealPage sacrifices everything to satisfy shareholders.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team needs to learn how to execute. There is no sense of urgency, there is no accountability, and a myoptic obsession with meeting short term goals, which it can only achieve through lowering expectations. The leadership team needs to be replaced.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

RealPage, like a fish, rots from the head down. There is a pervasive feeling of dread around the office. Employees are always waiting for the other shoe to drop--new layoffs, new reorganization, loss of resources. Replace the leadership team and retire the micro-managing CEO.
