Startek is not a great place to be at if youre driven and hungry for change. its a place just to put food on the table. Depending on the department you're part of, your experience could be horrible.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The culture is okay, people are friendly.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
No fair treatment, not fair pay and no transparency. We need to fix that first and the passion will come automatically.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Team work and passion for what they do. Its not just about a tick box exercise but adding value to those who join the company. For most, its just making sure they are getting paid and not completing tasks effectively.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel that my role and responsibilities are not compensated for fairly and there is not open door policy. I feel that if I raised my concerned and my feelings, I will be greeted with closed arms and only excuses about how the company isn't performing well.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communicate transparently. Have skip sessions to find out how we are doing and how they can help make our stay at Startek memorable. We need leaders who care enough to see value in you and compensate fairly on what you bring into the business. We need to be treated fairly not just as stats for BBEEE
