I can only speak for the University center that delivers to DC.. Let me just say that if the job didn't pay 6 figures it wouldn't be worth it. Management is constantly out to get you.. If you make any kind of MISTAKE they will terminate you. They do what is called a working termination, where they keep you working but put it in your file that you've been terminated, once you have made a fee mistakes they will take you to a panel and have you fired for good. The union is weak and the supervisors run the show, doing whatever they want. All of the supervisors are drivers that could not cut it so they went into management to tell all the drivers that can do the job what to do... doesn't make much sense does it... they work you to death and even when you finish your work you will be sent to help someone finish theirs.. expect to never see your family. Also they expect you to come in an hour or two before your start so you can sort your truck while its being loaded... but the dont pay you...

It vary's from place to place. It is not very good at my hub. Supervision seems to not understand that once upon a time most of them were doing the same thing the hourly employees did and they should know that harassing and belittling the hourly employees does not make us want to listen to them or actually respect them.

Morale is pretty poor. The "Do More with Less" mentality at UPS-SCS is finally catching up to everyone. Front line supervisors and hourly employees are asked to do jobs well above their pay grade and never rewarded for it.

They'll tell you that they're all "Living the Dream," but I think its more lip service as they try to convince themselves.

Extremely low morale. Bad communication between management and employees. No clear answers for anything. Everyday is extremely stressful. No accountabilities
