Top notch! The best in their industry. Carol Tome is an extraordinary leader company-wise. Locally, we have the best management team in the transportation industry! The managers are customer focused and employee inclusive!
Horrendous. Management is the worst part about working for this company. None of them talk to each other and they're all "the boss".

How's the work life balance at UPS?
Top Employee Response
Awful. Being out of the house for 14 hours a day leaves no time for family or anything else. People who file overtime grievances end being ridden and given warning letters for the dumbest things. Harassment is at an all time high
My stepdad works here and basically missed out on whole childhood, that should tell u about the work-life balance here
After 25yrs at UPS, work conditions have actually worsened. The everyday stress of the Job and the constant harassment from management beats employees moral and ability to spend any quality time with family. The work days are extremely long and exhausting and even when you request to work no more than 8hrs because you want to make to your kid’s game, they make it nearly impossible for you by stacking extra work on you so that mentally pushes you to work like an animal just to try to get out in time to make it to the game. Some days are better than others but when you look at the grand scheme of things, we UPSers give up so much… time that you’ll never be able to get back and make with your kids and family. So I’m conclusion, there’s no such thing as a work life balance at UPS.

If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at UPS?
i wouldn't make any changes.. the culture is perfect at UPS
Over micro management of employees needs to end. Harassment of hourly employees needs to end. Competent training needs to be enforced and corrected if need be. The culture of management looking down on all the hourly employees needs to completely end. The hourly employees of the company are the heart and soul of this business. When no one cares how the day to day operation runs the customers and the employees hurt. No one will want to ship with us and no one will want to work for us. When that happens employees start to question why are we doing this, it's not worth it!
Pay part timers more let part timers work 4 a day or more make union dues equal everybody else's not be more here and there they should stick to 2 1/2 times hourly rate and no more. Ban management from doing union work hire more women drivers

The people I work with and knowing I will be treated fairly from management.
What should I wear for an interview at UPS?
Clean street clothes. Nice shirt no jeans, clean polished shoes or boots. No sneakers.
Depends on position your interviewing. If it's a management or office position, business casual would be preferred if not a whole suit. If you're coming in as a preloader, or unloaded, I would be dressed ready to work ( old t shirts because you will sweat, loose fitting, comfortable Jean's and work boots ) because I have seen them go from the interview right to work
A smile
