Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. In 2020, Victra opened its Communications Center, employing hundreds of team members who handle Verizon Consumer, Business, and Customer Care calls, along with Victra store support. There have been many up's and down's but I love it here due to the culture and getting to spend time with executive leadership. Communication between departments and an increase in support staffing could improve the business. We often fall short because we do not have the staff to support need.

My overall experience has been pleasant. I recommend Victra to family and friends based on my own experience. There is certainly room to improve when it comes to clear feedback/leadership development/trajectory insight but overall a great place to work and grow in a business.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive thing about the culture here is that the majority of people are WILLING to participate in the fun or planning/ideas - sharing feedback on how to improve/make work better/and put forth the effort to make it happen.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like that the executive comes down to participate in important events at the VCC. It truly makes me feel like at even their level they do care and want to be tapped in. I have had REAL motivational convo's and gotten feedback from Rich and Scott that sometimes even managers don't provide.
