Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. What are some of the best things about your team?

We support each other and give each other insight into things so we are a united front.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Recognizing support staff and not just field sales staff. While we understand this is a sales organization, the support teams get very little recognition and incentives.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The executive team needs to review headcount in all support departments. We almost doubled the size of the company, and didn't increase our support headcount at all. This leads to burn out and bad work life balance.
