Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. In 2020, Victra opened its Communications Center, employing hundreds of team members who handle Verizon Consumer, Business, and Customer Care calls, along with Victra store support. The only reason I don't recommend Victra as a place to work to friends/family is because I have very high expectations of the quality of people that belong at Victra. It's a privilege to work here and I get annoyed by gen pop's lack of work ethic...wouldn't want to be frustrated with friends (shhh)

The folks that come in with a positive attitude, never complain, always work toward solutions are some of the best people to be around.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Variety - we are in an ever-changing industry and that keeps us on our toes. This is why hiring individuals with a positive mindset is crucial! We don't have time to complain, be exhausted, and move slowly.
What makes you most happy at work?
I enjoy the various departments of people and topics I'm involved with. Every day is different, something unexpected happens, and I love resolving problems. Makes me feel very satisfied when I have a lot on my plate and am able to contribute to the efforts of many others.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They clearly do care about people AND the success of the business. When leaders lean far in one direction, it's detrimental to the health of the business or health of people. Victra balances it well, and I'm VERY glad at the Summit there was emphasis placed on the importance of merit and hard work
